BUCKFIELD — Senior pitcher Cody White tagged a well-timed two-run single in the sixth inning of Game 1 as Buckfield went on to sweep Forest Hills, 3-2 and 12-0, in doubleheader baseball action Saturday.
White also fanned 12 batters to earn the mound win in the first game.
Matt Turner provided an RBI single for the Rangers (1-4) in the opener. The pitcher, Evan Worster, recorded seven strikeouts and five walks in the losing effort.
Alan Lebel collected three RBIs on a pair of hits for the Bucks (7-0) in the nightcap. John Williams fanned eight batters to earn the mound win for Buckfield.

Monmouth 2
BETHEL — Nick Mills’ inside-the-park grand slam highlighted a six-run third as Telstar pulled away from Monmouth, 12-2, in a MVC baseball game shortened to five innings by the 10-run mercy rule.
Danny Whitney ripped two doubles en route to a 4 for 4 day at the plate for the Rebels (6-1). Mills, Drew Wilson, Kyle Peterson and Kurt Morgan chipped in with two hits apiece.
Logan Bartlett picked up the win, scattering three hits over five innings.
Gould 7, Kents Hill 6
BETHEL — Connor Huggins singled with the bases loaded and two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to drive in the tying and go-ahead runs as Gould rallied to defeat Kents Hill, 7-6.
Jeb Clarke led Gould’s 12-hit attack with three hits, while Huggins, D.J. Sudbay and Jules Arsenault cracked a pair of hits each. Spencer Couch picked up the win in relief for Gould (8-6).
Cony 10, EL 2
AUBURN — Chandler Shostak’s two-run homer in the third inning helped Cony shake off Edward Little and roll to a 10-2 victory in a baseball game Saturday afternoon.
The Rams (6-4) was leading 3-2 going into the third inning before Shostak unleashed his home run. Winning pitcher Zach Lachance had three hits and catcher Taylor Camer and Ryan Edward each had two. The Red Eddies cut Cony’s three-run lead to two when
Pete Lenardis smacked a two-run single in the second inning.
The Rams launched a 13-hit barrage, while the Red Eddies (5-6) could only muster five hits against Lachance.
Boys’ lacrosse
St. Dom’s 19, Mt. Blue 1
AUBURN — Troy Haefele scored four goals and was credited with five assists while teammate Anthony Fagone scored four as St. Dom’s overwhelmed Mt. Blue, 19-1, in a boys’ lacrosse game Saturday afternoon.
The undefeated Saints (8-0) didn’t waste anytime building a 10-0 lead by halftime. Dalton Lorenz, Will Desmarais and Matt Chasse scored two goals apiece.
Mt. Blue’s lone goal came from Brian Ruillard and was assisted by Sam Taylor.
Lewiston 11,
Oxford Hills 3
SOUTH PARIS — Shawn O’Connell and Brandon Tiner each tallied four goals and an assists as Lewiston defeated Oxford Hills, 11-3, in boys’ lacrosse action Saturday.
Max Bolduc (three assists), Chris Rancourt and Reilly Bolduc contributed the other goals for Lewiston (5-3), while Tanner Hubbard collected five assists. Nick Record scored twice for Oxford Hills and Craig Jackson had the other marker.
Tom LePage and Andrew Gaumont combined for eight saves for the Blue Devils.
Timmy Hutchinson stopped 12 shots in goal for the Vikings (0-6).
Morse 19,
Mountain Valley 2
RUMFORD — Junior attackman Alex Paulus and sophomore attackman Dylan Crowell posted five goals apiece as Morse rocketed to a 19-2 victory over Mountain Valley in boys’ lacrosse action Saturday.
The Shipbuilders (4-4) led 16-1 at the half. Senior attackman Zach Hershey contributed four goals for Morse.
Senior attackman Kyle Duguay netted both of the Falcon’s (2-7) goals, one in each half.
Nathan Nicols provided an assist.
Goalie Coyote Freeman made 12 saves for Mountain Valley, while goalies Alex Smith and Kevin Thibodeau turned back eight and four shots each for Morse in the winning effort.
Girls’ lacrosse
Morse 18,
Edward Little 9
AUBRUN — Senior point Lauren Crosby netted six goals to lead Morse to an 18-9 victory over Edward Little in KVAC girls’ lacrosse action Saturday.
The Shipbuilders (2-4) picked up the tempo in the second half with three early unanswered goals.
Gabby LaPerriere recorded three goals and two assists for the Red Eddies (2-4).
Goalie Julia Langren made five saves for Edward Little, while goalie Crystal Leavitt prevented 10 to earn the win in net for Morse.
Berwick 13, Hebron 9
BERWICK — Lyndsay Bratlan collected six goals to lead Berwick to a 13-9 triumph over Hebron in girls’ lacrosse action Saturday.
Tilly Burzynski contributed three, while Aimee Briand netted a pair of goals for Berwick.
Chelsea Boucher provided a team-leading five goals for Hebron in the losing effort.
Goalie Sara Grover made 10 saves for Hebron, while goalie Kaitlyn Wurzer defended 12 shots to earn the win in net for Berwick.

Edward Little 0
AUBURN — Senior catcher Nicole Rugan hit a solo shot in the first inning to initiate a Cony 13-0 rout over Edward Little in KVAC softball action Saturday.
The Rams (10-0) put six and five runs on the board in the second and fourth innings, respectively.
Junior pitcher Sonja Morse struck out two-thirds of the batters she faced. Morse also had two doubles and an single on offense.
Kory Norcross suffered the mound loss for the Red Eddies (3-8).
Monmouth 11,
Telstar 2
BETHEL — Senior pitcher Reen Kahl retired 18 batters to dominate Monmouth in an 11-2 triumph over Telstar in MVC softball action Saturday.
Shannon Buzzell led off innings with a double and triple for the Mustangs (8-0). Kahl recorded four RBIs on offense to help her cause on the mount.
Sophomore shortstop Maisey Griffin had a pair of triples for the Rebels (2-5). Griffin knocked in both of Telstar’s seventh inning runs in the losing effort.
