OES to honor dads

WALES — Lakeside Chapter 60, OES, will meet at the Grange-Masonic Hall, 322 Center Road, at 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 12. Members will honor fathers and the flag. Reports will be given on the Grand Chapter, just held.

Light refreshments will be served after the meeting. Inquiries about joining may be directed to Violet Gerber, secretary, at 375-2698.

Summer meals

AUBURN — Auburn will offer a summer feeding program.  Breakfast and lunch will be served weekdays June 18 to Aug. 10. Sites are  Park Avenue School, Sherwood Heights and Pettengill Park.
All meals must be eaten on site, as participants are not allowed to remove food from the site. Free meals are provided to all preschool children to age 18.  Those interested in participating in the program must sign up through the Auburn School Lunch Program by calling Paula Rouillard at 333-6658.

Spiritualist workshops

LEWISTON — The Spiritualist Church of Eternal Life will sponsor two spiritualist workshops on Saturday, June 9.

The Rev. Bradley Gosselin, a national spiritualist teacher, will conduct a workshop on meditation from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a cost of $15 a person. Gosselin is a commissioned healer, vice president of the board of the National Spiritualist Association of Churches and a missionary.  His meditation workshop includes goals, purposes and methods and will include a class participation exercise.

The Rev. Elizabeth Gosselin, a national spiritualist teacher, will conduct a
workshop on spiritual law from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. Cost is $15. Gosselin is a certified medium and a missionary.  The workshop, “The Way to Peace,” will include definitions, short story readings and an analysis of natural law. There will be a written exercise, a take-home natural law sheet and a reading list.
Cost to take both classes is $25.

The Gosselins are members of the Lilly Dale  Spiritualist Church in New York and they are members of the International Spiritualist Federation. The Gosselins have done television and radio  interviews on spiritualism, and have published articles in the National Spiritualist Summit and the Spotlight. She also plays the angel harp at
healing services and meditations.

The church is located in Central Hall off the fourth level of Centerville Parking Garage at Ash and Canal streets.

Breastfeeding help

AUBURN — Expectant women and breastfeeding mothers are invited to a La Leche League meeting at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at 102 Bennett Ave. Babies are always welcome.

Discussion will focus on “Breastfeeding: Great Beginnings,” preparing for nursing baby at birth, establishing and maintaining breastfeeding and adjusting to family life with a new baby.
