WILTON — Peter and Donna Campion will share tales of love and everyday life from British folk music on Friday, June 8, at Baker’s Market Cafe. The duo will also perform a few drinking and hunting songs.
The Campions, founding members of the traditional Celtic folk group Talisker, will perform as part of Sing to ME in Wilton, Maine, a series of occasional concerts to highlight and support local performers.
Donna grew up in the Finger Lakes area of New York and has played accordion since she can remember. She has sung professionally with Light Opera of Manhattan and teaches voice. Peter grew up in England and lists British folk music, real ale and the music of Franz Schubert among his interests.
Doors open at 6 p.m., with the concert beginning at 7 o’clock. Desserts and beverages will be available before the concert. Baker’s Market Cafe is at 285 Main St.
