LEWISTON — Claire N. Enman, 68, a resident of 540 College St., died Saturday evening at Montello Manor, with family and extended family by her side, due to kidney failure.

She was born in Mexico, June 14, 1943, the daughter of Herbert and Mildred DeMerritt Enman. She attended Rumford schools and was a 1962 graduate of Stephens High School.

Claire loved music, especially the “oldies” and country music. She also especially adored her cat, “Tuffy.” She was an avid reader and also enjoyed doing word puzzles. Claire loved life. She loved to talk and enjoyed being with people. She also had a talent for learning your life story.

Survivors include a brother, Clayton Enman of Old Town; two sisters, Constance Burgess and husband, George, of Auburn, and Carole Faye Povelite and husband, David, of Andover. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
