DIXMONT — Margaret M. Michaud, 88, of Lewiston died peacefully on Saturday June 9, at her son’s home in Dixmont, with her family by her side following a short illness.
She was born in Lewiston, Dec. 14, 1923, the daughter of Harry and Marion (Goff) Driscoll and had been a resident of this community all of her life.
She was married to Armand A. Michaud on May 15, 1948; and he died on Jan. 21, 2001.
She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne’s of Holy Family Church, a volunteer at St. Martin de Porres, the Good Shepherd Food-Bank and St. Andres.
Margaret had a great sense of humor. She loved gardening and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by a daughter, Karen Dee and her husband, Timothy, of Lewiston; a son, James Michaud and his wife, Heather, of Dixmont; four grandchildren, Ben Dee, James and Samantha Flechsig and Tori Michaud; many great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the New Hope Hospice for the wonderful care they have given to Margaret throughout her illness.
