MEXICO — Stephens High class of 1954 will meet for their monthly luncheon at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the Covered Wagon. Classmates and friends welcome.
Lobster roll supper
DIXFIELD — There will be a lobster roll supper on Thursday, June 21, starting at 5 p.m. at the Dixfield Congregational Church.
The menu will be lobster roll with 100 percent lobster meat or chicken salad roll, homemade French fries or potato salad, cole slaw, dessert and beverage. $8 lobster dinner, $6 for chicken dinner. Take outs available by calling 562-4582 and leaving a message or by coming in.

Book, bake, bargain sale
MEXICO — The Mexico Public Library will hold a Book, Bake & Bargain Sale from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 23, in the area beside and behind the library and the Town Hall. In addition to used hardcover and paperback books, both adult’s and children’s, there will be baked goods, VHS tapes and tables with yard sale items.
In the event of rain, the sale will be held inside the lower level of the Town Hall. For more information, contact the library at 364-3281 or check its Facebook page.
Rumford Library book sale
RUMFORD — The annual book sale will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Rumford Library.
In addition to new-condition books that can be purchased for as little as $1, videos and audio books will also be available. On the following Monday morning customers may purchase an entire bag of books for $1. Children’s books, nonfiction and modern and classical fiction will be featured among the many choices. All sales benefit library programs.
Books will be sorted by category for ease of shopping. The event will take place downstairs in the public room, with some tables outside if weather permits. Anyone with books to contribute other than text books may drop them off during library hours.
Friends of the Rumford Library, part of Friends of Libraries USA, is the sponsoring group. New members and volunteers are always welcome.
