AUBURN — St. Dominic Academy Alumni Association is accepting applications for the 2012 Athletic Hall of Fame Award and the Lifetime Achievement Award until June 30.
Hall of Fame criteria is that nominees have made an exceptional contribution to the athletic programs of the school as either an outstanding athlete, team, coach or supporter. All nominees must have been away from high school sports and competitions for a minimum of five years.
The Lifetime Achievement Award is presented annually to an individual who has consistently contributed in some way to the athletic success of the school.
Those interested in nominating are requested to submit a letter or statement in support of the nomination with any possible back up materials if available (news clippings, photos and documentation) that will assist the committee in reviewing the nominees. All backup materials will be returned.
The recipients will be recognized at the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony during Homecoming 2012.

Jackson softball tourney
The inuagural Andrew Jackson Music Scholarship benefit softball tournament will be played the weekend of June 30 and July 1. It is for recreational teams only. Coed will be played in Auburn Saturday, June 30 and men’s in Lewiston Sunday, July 1.
Come join us for a weekend of great fun and memories of an amazing musician and outstanding athlete who touched many hearts in Lewiston/Auburn and surrounding areas. All proceeds from the event will go into a scholarship fund for a deserving high school graduate. A lunch cart will be available.
ASA rules as they are in the leagues. There will be a home run derby at each tournament, so ladies can get in too. The fee will be $100 per team plus donations. If your team wants to give more that will be highly appreciated. For more information and to sign up, contact Bob Bennett at 239-9293.
Dirigo hoop camp
DIXFIELD — Dirigo High School boys’ basketball coach Travis Magnusson will direct the Future Cougars Basketball Camp next week, June 18 to June 22, at the school. Time is 9 a.m. to noon Monday. For Tuesday through Friday the camp will be split into into two groups: 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for grades 2-5 and 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. for grades 6-9. The camp is for both boys and girls. Cost is $60.
