LEWISTON — Orthopaedic Institute of Central Maine of Central Maine Medical Center is a bronze winner at the 29th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards. The award, presented by Healthcare Marketing Report, is in recognition of the OICM’s patient information kit.
The kit, given to all patients undergoing a hip or knee replacement, has information for the individual and their loved ones about the entire process of the procedure. It goes over topics spanning from pre-operative care and testing, to the day of surgery and what to expect, to post-operative care, including diet and exercises. The books were created by the staff at Central Maine Orthopaedics and the OICM.
The award marks the second this year for the OICM. Earlier, the specialty unit of CMMC was awarded a bronze Telly Award for their two local television commercials.
