LEWISTON — Luke Cote struck out eight batters and walked only one as Pastime, formerly known as Gayton Post, made quick work of Andy Valley with a 6-0 victory in their American Legion baseball opener Tuesday.
Pastime (1-0) jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the third inning and piled on three more runs in the sixth. Cote only gave up four hits.
Chris Madden drove in a pair of runs and had two singles in Pastime’s seven-hit attack. For Andy Valley, Jake Irish had two hits.
Matt Bilodeau took the loss after going three innings for Andy Valley.
