LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Gabrielle Plante was celebrated Monday by Monsignor Marc Caron at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul of the Prince of Peace Parish. At the entrance of church, Gabrielle’s daughters, Mona and Romance draped their mother’s casket with the a white burial pall signifying their mother’s Baptism into a new spiritual life with God. During Mass, Gabrielle’s granddaughter, Lisa MacKenzie read a scripture reading and recited the prayer of the faithful. Gabrielle’s daughters, Romance Gagne and Mona Chiarantona brought the offertory gifts to the altar. Following a funeral procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, Monsignor Caron recited committal prayers. At the conclusion of services, all in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at the Ramada Inn in Lewiston. Arrangements by the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home.
