MINOT — Frank Edward Wheeler, 64, of Minot, passed away Tuesday, July 3, at his home.
He was born in Fayette, Jan. 12, 1948, the son of Edward B. and Madeleine Andrea Wheeler. He attended the Pineland Center School.
In his younger years, he worked with his father on the family farm. After Pineland closed, he moved to the John F. Murphy, Mt. Prospect Group Home in Minot, where he had resided for the last 15 years.
He attended Personal Onsite Development, his day program in Auburn. He loved being outdoors, going for walks and hiking at Thorncrag. He loved going camping at Camp Tall Pines and going for boat rides. He enjoyed his mocha joe, John Deere tractors and sorting poker chips.
He is survived by his mother of Old Orchard Beach; a sister, Betty Bouchard of Old Orchard Beach; and his family and friends at the Mt. Prospect Group Home.
