MONMOUTH — Aaron Chase, who was raised and resides in Monmouth, was elected president of Monmouth Rescue Association and assumed the position as of July 1.
“Aaron will represent Monmouth Rescue very well and he is very committed to the association,” said Steve Harrison, chief of MRA.
Aaron has been an EMT with the service since 2007 and is also employed by Winthrop Ambulance Service and works full time for Houle’s Plumbing and Heating in Waterville.
Monmouth Rescue is a not for profit association contracted to provide 24-hour EMS coverage for the towns of Monmouth and Wales with mutual aid to Winthrop and Leeds. Monmouth Rescue is a paid service during daytime hours but is volunteer at night.
New titles also belong to Lori Bachelder as treasurer, Christina Levesque serving as the secretary and Jennifer Pelletier on the board of directors.
Re-elected officers were Steve Harrison, chief, and Kenny Ouellette on the board of directors.
The public is invited to stop by Monmouth Rescue Association’s booth at the Monmouth Fair from Aug. 1-4 to meet the dedicated personnel that help protect the community. They will also be offering free blood pressure checks.
