I can’t help but wonder how many times Gov. Paul LePage will have to apologize for something he has said. Is it because he has made some progress in righting this state’s problems? Granted, he sometimes uses language he probably shouldn’t, but as far as I’m concerned that is to make a point. Who doesn’t talk that way? At least no swear words were used. If he had, I would be the first to complain.

May I remind the citizens of Maine that LePage was elected to the post of mayor of Waterville three times. He must have done something right besides straightening out that city’s financial problems.

He is trying to do the same thing for the state Maine. Are people afraid of that outcome?

People need to quit complaining and be thankful that we have elected a man to the governor’s seat who is willing to try.

He recognizes the discrepancies in the tax base between those who have and others who have not. He also sees the heavy tax burden created by the large number of people on welfare and is trying to correct it.

Give the guy a break.
