PORTLAND — Thomas L. Joudrey IV, 30, of Canton, died unexpectedly on July 24 at Maine Medical Center.

Born June 7, 1982, in Bangor,  Tom was the son of Thomas L. Jourdrey III and Teri Plourde. He graduated from Livermore Falls High School.

On July 24 our family suffered an incomprehensible tragedy losing Thomas. He was the best son, brother, uncle, nephew, friend and all-around person anyone could ask for. His life was not in vain. He touched many people with his quiet words and beautiful heart, always giving back to people and our Earth.

Tom loved all animals and nature. He was an outdoorsman who loved to garden and create works of art with nature.

Tom was truly one of the purest souls and brightest lights we’ve ever known. He has transcended these boundaries which are our reality, to a new, more fantastic journey.

Tom is survived by his parents, Thomas L. Joudrey III and Teri Jo Plourde; siblings, Zacharie R. Joudrey and Casey R. Joudrey; niece and nephews, Elyse, Samual, Matthew, Jaycee and Travis; grandparents, Roberta and Ernie Olsen; aunts, Yvette Levasseur, Anita Plourde, Cara Wolf, Erin Graham, Paula Marsters, Ivy Harding and Megan Olsen; uncles, Darryl Joudrey, Darren Joudrey and Doug Marsters; and many cousins.
