AUBURN — Laurier J.A. Boulet, 94, of 100 Campus Ave., Lewiston, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, at Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice with his loving family at his side.

He was born in Lewiston, Dec. 14, 1917, the son of Benjamin and Clara Boulet. Educated in Lewiston schools, he served as a Marine sergeant in World War II, stationed in Saipan and Tinian.

On April 4, 1945, he married Fernande Bisson of Lewiston. A member of the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, he worked many years for the Lewiston Middle school maintenance department until his retirement. He was also a member of the American Legion and Disabled American Veterans, was an avid Red Sox fan and loved sweets.

Besides his loving wife of 67 years, survivors include three sons, Robert and companion, Diane Sawyer, of Lisbon, Daniel and wife, Claire, of Lewiston and Michael and wife, Claire, of Lewiston; one daughter, Patricia Chretien and husband, Roger, of Lewiston; one brother-in-law, Leo Gagnon and wife, Pat, of Turner; one daughter-in-law, Claudia Boulet; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by one infant daughter, Suzanne; six brothers; and eight sisters.
