Olivia Turgeon, 5, and her grandmother, Fran White, both of Auburn, practice yoga during Storytime Yoga at the Auburn Public Library on Tuesday. Twelve children and their caregivers read the book “Wangari’s Trees of Peace” before yoga teacher Tisha Bremner of Turner and her audience acted out the story using yoga poses. Bremner based Tuesday’s yoga lesson on service in the community. “Serving our communities is doing something good for the environment or for the people that live there,” Bremner told the children. Helping mom with dinner, younger brothers and laundry and using less electricity are all ideas that children raised as ways to help in their community. The next Storytime Yoga is 9:30 a.m. Aug. 28.
