MINOT — Elizabeth Jane Brown O’Connor, 77, died peacefully, Sunday, Aug. 26, at her home surrounded by her family.
She was born Dec. 25, 1934, daughter of James and Luella Brown Sr. of Greene.
She was a graduate of Edward Little High School and CMG school of X-Ray technology.
In 1953, she married Robert O’Connor, and together raised their five children.
She was employed in various jobs over the years, including Lost Valley, Hitt’s Orchard and Dairy Joy. In 1972, she opened O’Connor’s Pizza in Auburn with her husband, Bob. After 11 years, they decided to close the restaurant and she worked at JCPenney’s in Auburn until her retirement.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, attending sporting events of her children and grandchildren, being a member of the West Auburn Congregational Church, playing cards, bowling, sewing, and knitting.
In the winter months, she enjoyed going to Naples, Fla., with her husband and spending time with their snowbird friends.
Betty is survived by her husband, Bob O’Connor of Minot; sister, Geraldine Crouse of Florida; daughter, Kathy Attwood and husband, Paul, of Minot; son, Kevin O’Connor and wife, Karen, of Mount Vernon; son, Brad O’Connor and wife, Dianne, of Minot; daughter, Patty Roy and husband, Dick, of Minot; son, Tim O’Connor and wife, Robin, of Bowdoinham; grandchildren, Ryan O’Connor and wife, Temple, Kristina Bacchiocchi and husband, Ryan, Shawn O’Connor, Jennifer Moser and husband, Nelson, Michael O’Connor and wife, Elizabeth, Katie O’Connor and partner, Sarah McGuire, Jonathan Roy, Elizabeth Coen and husband, Kevin, Kyle O’Connor and partner, Katie Sheeran, Kelli Young and husband, Kenny, and Zachary O’Connor and Tyler O’Connor; great-grandchildren, Callan and Isla O’Connor, Alexandria and Isabella Bacchiocchi, Andrew and Matthew O’Connor, Paige Moser, and Jade and Rory McGuire.
She was predeceased by her parents, James and Luella Brown Sr.; brothers, James Brown and Robert Brown; sister, Carolyn Champa; and grandson, Roland O’Connor.
