FARMINGDALE —  Erin Gats registered a hat trick Wednesday to propel Spruce Mountain to a 5-2 victory over Hall-Dale in MVC field hockey action.
Kayla Meserve and Jahna Couture also tallied to complete the scoring for the Phoenix (8-1-1).
Nicole Pelletier and Lexi Moran scored for Hall-Dale (1-9).  Kasey Richards made eight saves for Spruce Mountain, while Hannah Perry deflected nine shots for Hall-Dale.

Poland 1, Freeport 0
POLAND — Emma Turton took a throughball from Emily Bolduc and beat the Freeport goalie one-on-one two minutes into overtime as Poland edged Freeport, 1-0, in WMC girls’ soccer action Wednesday.
Haley Whitworth preserved the scoreless tie for Poland (4-2-1) by stopping a breakway in the  second half for one of her six saves. Aubrey Tennell made 11 saves for Freeport (4-5).
Gray-NG 2, OOB 2
GRAY —  Julia Martel scored in the second half for Gray-New Gloucester to salvage a 2-2 tie with Old Orchard Beach in WMC girls’ soccer action..
Michaela MacDonald scored the first Gray-New Gloucester (2-5-2) goal. Amy Twohig and Olivia Dubois each tallied for Old Orchard. Sam Wilkins made five saves for the Patriots.

Gray-NG 3, Wells 0
WELLS —  Austin Carson led a trio of players to ecord goals Wednesday as Gray-New Gloucester raced away to a 3-0 victory over Wells.
Tyler St. Pierre and Will Bartlett also tallied for the Patriots (4-3-2)  Nick Rogers made five saves to preserve the shutout.
