SOUTH PARIS — Albion Perdy Carr went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, Oct. 7. He was 92.
He was born Dec. 27, 1919, in Five Islands, the son of Fredrick and Orissa Davis Carr. He was a veteran of World War II. He was gunmans mate, first class on the USS Perry. He was also in the European Theater.
For 30 years, he was a supervisor in the copper mines in Arizona. He loved hunting, fishing and lobstering.
He is survived by one sister, Marian Bogan, who resides in Virgina; a daughter, Janice Ramsdell and her husband, Earl, of Windham; a son, Alan Carr and his wife, Julie, of Albany Township; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two wives, Thelma Sutherland and Marie Moore; and five brothers and sisters, Edward, Charles, Harry, Betty and Jeannette.
Albion resided in Five Islands prior to his stay at the Veterans’ Home in South Paris.
