NORWAY — The Stone-Smart Unit 82 American Legion Auxiliary held its September meeting with president Thelma Denlinger presiding.
Department chairman Lucille Allen spoke on the Auxiliary Emergency Fund.
Chaplain Marcy Dullea reported that she has mailed six sympathy cards and delivered 22 birthday cards to Maine Veterans Home in South Paris.
Donations from the Norway Firemen’s Relief Fund were made to Buelah Ayer for gas money, as she has had many trips to Boston to see her eye doctor, to Children and Youth Chairman Barbara Henley for school supplies and teacher treats for Education Week at Guy E. Rowe School, to the Post to help pay for security lights at the Post and at Veterans Memorial Park, and to the Auxiliary Emergency Fund.
It was voted to pay assessments for the coming year.
The meeting was preceded by an Italian theme supper, co-chaired by Thelma Denlinger and Kathy Neary.
