Merrill

NEW GLOUCESTER — Travis Merrill and Stephanie Vigneault, joined by all their family and friends, were married on July 28. The wedding ceremony was held at the First Congregational Church in New Gloucester. The Rev. Linda K. Gard conducted the ceremony, Beth Barefoot played the organ and Patti Laplume, cousin of the bride, performed a reading.

Following the ceremony, a country wedding reception was held at Harmony Hall in North Yarmouth. All the decorations were done by family and friends. The hors d’oeuvres, salad bar, including all the dressings and pasta bar, were all homemade with love by their family.

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Wendy Vigneault of Lebanon. She wore a strapless country gown with jewels in her hair. She carried a bouquet of sunflowers, black-eyed Susans and red berries, put together by the bridegroom’s aunt and cousin.

The bridegroom is the son of Debra Murphy of Sabattus and Leonard Merrill of Auburn. The couple arrived at the reception in a 1988 limo driven by the bride’s cousin.

The maid of honor was Samantha Vigneault, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Lauren Spencer, lifelong friend of the bride, and Kelly Carey, friend and co-worker of the bride.

The best man was Michael Hanson of Portland. The groomsmen were Jacob Spencer of China and Leonard Merrill, father of the bridegroom.

The couple went to Negril, Jamaica, for their honeymoon. The resort they visited was called Couples Swept Away.
