AUGUSTA — A Country Music Jamboree will be held on Sunday, Oct. 28 at American Legion Post 205.

Bob Elston & The Road Rangers will perform with Chris Fyfe, Bert Hoppler, John Whitman, Pat Cote,The Higgins Family, Sonny Bickford, Willy Ross, Slim Andrews, Brenda Millett and others.

The show, from noon to 5 p.m., will benefit the Bill Giasson Memorial Music Camp Scholarship Fund. Giasson was a teacher in Winthrop for 19 years and an avid country music entertainer. He was an active member of the Maine Academy of Country Music, Down East Country Music Association, Maine Country Music Association, Pine Tree Country Music Association and Maine Country Music Hall of Fame.

There will be a lunch menu, raffle, silent auction and drawing. The post is on Route 17. Cost: $10.
