The U.S. Constitution states that congressional seats and Electoral College votes are to be based on “the whole number of persons in each state.” Since corporations are considered persons (with more rights than ordinary, mortal biological people), shouldn’t they be included in the census count for congressional seats and Electoral College votes?
After all, corporations are allowed unlimited spending out of their general funds on elections, and already disproportionately influence elected officials.
Why stop there?
Why not find every possible political power other than voting remaining to us mere mortals and hand it over to the corporations, so we can more easily assume our proper role as citizens: obsequiously grovelling before their pervasive supranational power.
