On President Obama’s watch the nation has seen the end of the war in Iraq; decimation of al Qaida; new post-crash regulation of Wall Street; bailout of the auto industry; stimulus funds toward infrastructure and clean energy; new, stronger fuel-emission standards; decreased dependence on foreign oil; immigration reform beginnings; passage of Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act; Affordable Health Care Act; lower unemployment numbers; support for veterans and their families; and support for women’s health care.

The Romney/Ryan ticket promises to overturn Roe v. Wade; defund Planned Parenthood; repeal Affordable Health Care; make Medicare a voucher system; and retain tax cuts for the very wealthy. Romney hasn’t supported equal pay for women. Arithmetic on his deficit reduction plan doesn’t add up. Trickle-down economics didn’t work for Ronald Reagan, and it won’t work now. Voters should think carefully about that reactionary agenda.

The nation can move forward with Obama/Biden in 2012.
