LEWISTON — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Maurice Pelletier was celebrated Friday at Holy Cross Church of the Prince of Peace Parish with the Rev. Aaron Damboise celebrating the Mass following prayers at Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home. During Mass, Maurice’s son, Gerald Pelletier, proclaimed the first reading. The prayer of the faithful was recited by Maurice’s granddaughter, Jamie Roy. The offertory gifts were brought to the altar by Maurice’s daughters, Jeanne Mavor and Ann Moreau. Words of remembrance were shared by Maurice’s son-in-law, Roland Moreau, at the conclusion of Mass. Following a procession to St. Peter’s Cemetery, Father Damboise recited committal prayers, and as a final tribute Maurice’s family distributed a single rose to each of Maurice’s grandchildren. Pallbearers were Ben Moreau, Brendon Roy, Philip Guerette, Marc and Robert Pelletier, as well as Tom Mooney. At the conclusion of services, all in attendance were invited to a reception of fellowship at the Green Ladle Culinary Arts Center.
