NEW BEDFORD, Mass. — Gerard M. Myrand, 87, of New Bedford, Mass., died Nov. 1.

He was born in Hudson, Mass., the son of the late Louis A. and Edith C. (McGillicuddy) Myrand. He had lived in Lewiston for 36 years, before moving to New Bedford in 1961.

Mr. Myrand was formerly employed by Continental Mills in various managerial positions, by Berkshire Hathaway in management positions in Tiverton and Warren, R.I., Fall River, Mass., and Manchester, N.H., and by Barrow Fabrics of Canton, Mass., until his retirement in 1987.

He is survived by his godchild, Coleen Trask of Alna.

He was the very dear and loved friend of the late Marie Bienvenue; and brother of the late Walter D. Myrand.
