LEWISTON — Susan A. (Brown) Murphy, 45, of Greene, passed away on Monday, Nov. 5, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of Phillip G. Murphy Sr.

She was born in Sanford, April 30, 1967, a daughter of the late Robert A. and Colleen (Bartlet) Brown. She graduated from Leavitt Area High School and went on to study at Mid-Maine College in Auburn.

She loved gardening and caring for her dogs, Emmy Lou and Leelu as well as her cats. She also enjoyed joy riding in her truck and was an avid equestrian.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Meghan Murphy and her partner, John Bell, of Turner, and her grandson, Caenan Bell also of Turner; her daughter and granddaughter meant the world to Susan and they will miss her fiercely; she also leaves a stepson, Phillip G. Murphy Jr. of Exeter, N.H.; her mother-in-law, Eleanor Murphy of Auburn; two sisters-in-law, Deb Murphy and her husband, Dale Brown, of Minot and Cristel Murphy of Oxford; a brother-in-law, Thomas Murphy Jr. of Auburn; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was also the daughter-in-law of the late Thomas Murphy Sr.
