AUBURN — Funeral services honoring the life of Maurice L. Penley were celebrated on Monday from the Memorial Chapel of Dillingham & Son. Pastor Russell C. Cotnoir Jr., officiated the service and recited committal prayers at Penley Corner Cemetery in Auburn. During the service, words of remembrance were expressed by Michael “Micky” McCann and music was performed by Joel Gilbert and the Bray family. At the conclusion of the committal prayers, military honors from the U.S. Navy played “taps” and presented our country’s flag to Maurice’s son, Jay Penley. Pallbearers were Michael McCann, Brett and Ross Poisson, Benjamin and Zachary Bray and Matthew Haynes.
