RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of John R. “Jack” Ronan was celebrated on Thursday at Parish of the Holy Savior. Fr. Robert Vaillancourt was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “You Raise Me Up,” “The Old Rugged Cross” and “This Is My Father’s World.” The Old Testament was proclaimed by his granddaughter, Tasha Ronan. The New Testament was proclaimed by his grandson, Joshua Ronan. Prayer of the faithful was offered by Dennis Ronan. The offertory gifts were presented by his grandchildren, Jeana Ronan and Garrett Benedix. Personal reflections were shared by his sons, John and Dennis Ronan. Pallbearers were Lennie Ronan, Joshua Ronan, Seth Jacobs, Garrett Benedix, Dustin Benedix, Tasha Ronan, and Noah and Christian Ronan. Military Honors were rendered by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard from Portsmouth, N.H. A reception followed in the parish hall served by the daughters of Isabella. Spring interment will be in St. John Cemetery. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
