RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Normand T. Bourret of Rumford was celebrated Monday at the Parish of the Holy Savior St. Athanasius-St. John Church with Fr. James Martel as the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar assistant and Mark Belanger was the organist. Musical selections were “You Raise Me Up,” “How Great Thou Art,” “On Eagle’s Wings” and “Ave Maria” and a special musical selection was “Je Nai LaVoir Ujour” that was sung by Sister Suzanne Bourret, P.M., Marie Fournier and Georges Bourret. Placing the pall on his casket were his children, Normand, Michael, Kathleen, Thomas Bourret, Susanne Dorion and Loretta Boivin. Readings were proclaimed by Marie Fournier and Georges Bourret. Prayers of the faithful were recited by Sister Suzanne Bourret, P.M. Presenting gifts to the altar were Carole and Bob Parise followed by all the grandchildren presenting flowers. Pallbearers were Larry Clifford Jr, Joe, Ryan, Stephen, Alex, Ben, Christopher Bourret, Greg Clifford and Thomas Dorion. A reception followed at 49 Franklin St in Rumford. Arrangements were under the direction of the Meader and Son Funeral Home.
