LEWISTON — In a tightly contested boys’ basketball game, Lewiston edged visiting Lawrence by three points Monday, earning a 61-58 victory. The Blue Devils sealed the win with fewer than 10 seconds left in the game on a perfect pass from Josh Thomas to Steven Patrie, who completed the play with the game’s key bucket.
Hitting double figures on the Lewiston side were Thomas 14, Abdi Hussein (11) and Donne Agossou (10).
Spencer Carey of Lawrence led all scorers with 26, including a game high seven from the charity stripe.
Lewistons record improves to 6-5, while Lawrence suffered only their second loss to move to 9-2.
