BOSTON — Brittany Martin, daughter of Jeanne and Dan Martin of Lewiston has been named to the dean’s list with distinction for the fall 2012 semester at Boston University. A 2011 graduate of Lewiston High School, Martin is majoring in graphic design.

BOSTON — Scott B. Ouellette of Lewiston has been placed on the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at the Wentworth Institute of Technology. A 2011 Lewiston High School graduate, Ouellette majors in computer science and is also a member of the Leopards baseball team.

He is the son of Bruce and Karen Ouellette and grandson of Theresa Ouellette and Phyllis Theberge, all of Lewiston.

KEENE, N.H. — Keene State College has released the dean’s list for the fall semester 2012. Area students include Adam Ben Beaulieu of Sabattus, Monica P. Grass of Sabattus, Sabrina Elsa Lapointe of Auburn, Grace Elizabeth Lemieux of Winthrop, Eliza Norton Smiley of New Sharon and Reece Robert Teixeira of Lewiston.

STANDISH — Saint Joseph’s College nursing professor Sharon Martin and her daughter Leah Martin, a nursing student at the college, recently completed a week-long service trip to Guatemala sponsored by the college. The Martins are from Turner.

Also participating were nursing students Ariana Andrews-Wilson of Buckfield, Chelsea Greene of Rumford, Hannah Sterling of Auburn and Kelly Nutter of Greene.

In cooperation with Partners in Development of Ipswich, Mass., three faculty members and a 20-member student team volunteered in a village three hours west of Guatemala City. The team helped to staff a medical clinic along with other nursing students, while others built a concrete-block emergency house for a homeless family of seven and a multi-family concrete-block latrine for local villagers. The group also ran a children’s program for 150 participants and distributed roughly 1,250 pounds of humanitarian supplies.

STANDISH — In January during winter break, a group of Saint Joseph’s College of Maine students and faculty completed a week-long service trip to Haiti. In cooperation with Partners in Development of Ipswich, Mass., a team of three staff members and 12 students began laying a house foundation, volunteered in a health clinic and provided expertise in developing budget spreadsheets, job descriptions and other administrative tools in the ongoing work of helping the people in a village on the outskirts of Port au Prince.

Local participants included Ashley Condon of Sumner, a nursing student at the college; Frank Daggett of Harrison, the director of the Mercy Center at the college; and Morgan Harrison of Lewiston, a nursing student at the college.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. — The following students have been named to dean’s list at Western New England for the fall semester of 2012.

Alexandria N. Dean of Lewiston, a freshman majoring in marketing.
