NEW GLOUCESTER — Family education programs will be held during winter and spring at Pineland Farms, 15 Farm View Drive.
Explore life on the farm from 10 to 11:30 a.m. every Friday. Collect eggs, milk a cow, feed farmyard animals. Open to all ages.
A butter making class for ages 3 and up will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 13 and April 30.
Sparks’ Ark for ages 3 and up will take place from 1 to 2 p.m. Feb. 18 and April 17. Meet the wild animals David Sparks rehabilitates.
Udderly Amazing Cows will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 19 and April 18. Milk a cow and tour the dairy barns. Open to all ages.
Wind Over Wings for ages 3 and up will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Feb. 20 and April 15. Meet birds of prey and animal rehabilitator Hope Douglas of Wind Over Wings.
The Joy of Chickens will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 21 and April 16. Learn about chickens and collect eggs. Open to all ages.
Felting for Kids ages 3 and up will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. Feb. 27. Turn sheep’s fleece into felted-wool items.
Maple Sugaring for ages 3 and up will take place from 10 to 11:30 a.m. March 6, 12, 13 and 19. Collect sap and turn it into maple syrup.
A natural paper making program for ages three and up will be held from 10 to 11:30 a.m. March 27.
Composting for Kids will be held from 10 to 11:30 am. April 24. Learn to make rich, fertile soil out of food waste. Open to all ages.
Programs are $5 per person. Arrive 15 minutes early to purchase tickets. Season passes are available for families of up to four for $100.
