RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial for Joan G. Martin, of Peru, and formerly of Rumford, was celebrated at 11 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at Parish of the Holy Savior, St. Athanasius-St. John Church, Rumford, with the Rev. Robert Vaillancourt as celebrant. Altar assistant was Bernard Poirier. Organist was Mark Belanger. Music selections included “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “Ave Maria,” “Amazing Grace,” “Be Not Afraid,” and “Hosea.”

The readings from the old and new testament were proclaimed by Barbara Doherty. The Prayers of the Faithful were proclaimed by Barbara Doherty.

Interment in the spring will be at St. John Cemetery, Rumford.

A reception followed the Mass in the Parish Hall. Arrangements were under the care of the MEADER  &  SON  FUNERAL  HOME, Rumford.
