NORWAY — Kevin B. Haines, 63, of Norway, passed away on Monday, Feb. 25.

He was born in Littleton, N.H., Aug. 20, 1949, son of David and Ruth (Wyer) Haines. Kevin graduated from Canton High School and attended Kents Hill Prep School, where he played football.

After serving his country proudly in the U.S. Marine Corps, Kevin went to Bates College and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in history. Throughout his working career, Kevin worked as a security guard at the Pentagon, Positively Maine Street as a bartender, No Tomatoes as a waiter, he was postmaster at the Greenville Post Office and then worked in different postal departments, the last as a savings bond salesman.

He was a member of the Masonic AF & Am Oxford Lodge, an avid fisherman, hunter and enjoyed playing golf.

He is survived by his son, Zachary J. Haines; brother, Alan Haines of Worcester, Mass.; sisters, Linda Haines of Cambridge, Mass., and Janet Haines of Needham, N.H.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
