NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank recently held its Annual Employee Awards Banquet to celebrate employees’ achievements and successes of 2012.

The evening focused on recognizing individuals and departments for their accomplishments by senior management.

Nancy Stroud, security administrator, was named 2012 Employee of the Year. She administers the bank’s anti-money laundering program and assists with oversight and coordination of facility-related issues at the Congress Street branch.

This year’s President’s Award was presented to Vicky Libby, vice president, loan servicing manager. She is a member of the bank’s employee leadership crew and has been instrumental in leading many of the bank’s initiatives.

In 2012, Libby took on the role of implementing the bank’s mentoring program, which had 18 participants in its first year.

Other employees were recipients of awards for exhibiting elements of the bank’s culture through their daily responsibilities and high quality of work:

Culture Champion of the Year: Janel Danforth, retail operations.

Achievement Award: Julie Flather, retail loan center, and Christine McMann, loan operations.

Branding Award: Kurt Garascia, asset management group, and Gail McBride, compliance.

Communications Award: Krissy Dillingham, human resources, and Amy Marshall, training.

Customer Service Award: Tricia Brooks, human resources, and Betty Kane, retail loan center.

Empowerment Award: Mike Noble, facilities, and Peggy Tilton, retail operations.

Leadership Award: Irene Millett, commercial administration, and Karry Kane, Topsham.

Team Player Award: Jessica Tice, deposit operations, and Talley Estes, commercial administration.

Employees who celebrated a milestone anniversary with the bank were also recognized at the banquet:
