RUMFORD — Selectmen have scheduled a special meeting for 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, to discuss town budgeting with NewPage Inc.
The meeting was prompted by a March 18 Board of Selectmen budget hearing on initiated article requests. Several Rumford paper mill employees attended that to express their angst with town budgeting.
At that meeting, Town Manager Carlo Puiia restricted discussion to the requests but alluded to the possible need for “a little more discussion.”
Wednesday’s meeting will be held in Rumford Falls Auditorium.
