WINSLOW (AP) — A Clinton police officer has been arrested on a domestic violence charge.

Winslow police said Officer Scott Francis was charged Wednesday with class D domestic-violence assault and class D assault.

Police told the Morning Sentinel that the charges stem from an incident Monday evening, but few details were available because the investigation is in the early stages.

The alleged victims are two household members. The assault was reported on Tuesday morning by a person connected to the family but not living in the house.

The 37-year-old Francis turned himself in.

He posted unsecured bail of $750 and was barred from contact with the alleged victims. He could not be reached for comment.
