AUBURN — Gaylen Kilgore, 80, of East Poland, died Sunday, March 31, at Hospice House.
He was born in South Paris, Oct. 12, 1932, the son of Ralph and Minnie Hill Kilgore. He attended schools in Paris and Auburn and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1954.
He married his high school sweetheart, Pauline Perrier in September 1955 and they had three children, G. Michael, Pamela and Daniel. He had been employed at Gould & Scammon from 1955 to 1994 as head of the moulding department before his early retirement at age 59.
He was an avid Red Sox fan. He spent 17 winters in Riverview, Fla., enjoyed golfing and shuffleboard.
He is survived by his wife of East Poland; a son, G. Michael of Florida; two sisters, Esther Mitchell and Kay Kilgore; a brother, Gordon Kilgore; granddaughter, Heather Jordan; great-grandchildren, Keith, Kyle and Abigail Jordan; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two children, Pamela in 1969 and Daniel in 1971; a sister, Lillian; and a brother, Gerald.
