The most important veto in this state’s history just took place.

Gov. Paul LePage just vetoed a bipartisan bill that would restrict commercial tanning businesses from allowing anyone under 18 years of age in their tanning booths. His logic —  it is up to the parents, not the lawmakers.

It would then follow, things such as smoking, drinking, driving and all the other stupid activities kids under 18 do is up to the parents, not the lawmakers and the laws they have put in place.

Good God — let’s fire the lawmakers. LePage knows parents will do the right thing.

That is such a no-brainer …
