LEWISTON — Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice was recently honored by The LTC and Senior Living LINK Organization as the 2013 LINK Spirit of Innovation Award Winner for its M.O.D.E.L. Care Initiative.

The LTC and Senior Living LINK Spirit of Innovation Award recognizes provider organizations for their innovation, dedication to improvement, development of best practices, and commitment to the success of the long-term care and senior living industries as demonstrated by a willingness to share these ideas with others.

Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice’s M.O.D.E.L. Care initiative is a patient driven initiative that will create reliable standardized best practices and will provide the momentum and tools needed to evaluate, restructure and sustain operations to meet this goal.

M.O.D.E.L Care stands for Meaningful, Organized, Developed, Effective/Efficient and Lasting quality. Androscoggin Home Care & Hospice has just finished the first of a two-year effort that is yielding positive results for a series of publicly reported benchmarks that hold every member of the organization accountable for excellence.

Winners will be honored at the 2013 LTC and Senior Living LINK Conference and receive recognition and are invited to present a case study and/or facilitate a round table of their innovation to their peers. Winners will be honored at an award presentation at the 2013 LINK Conference June 4-6 in Chicago.
