1944 – 2013

LEWISTON — Sandra L. Cotton, 68, of Auburn, died Thursday, April 11, at Central Maine Medical Center, with her family at her side, after a period of failing health.

She was born in Old Town, June 8, 1944, the daughter of the late John and Roberta (Sturgeon) Reed. She attended Edward Little High School, and then on Aug. 4, 1962, she married Edwin Cotton Sr., who passed away in March 2008.

Sandra worked for many years in the local shoe industry and prior to retirement she worked for several years for Tambrands.

Her interests included extensive travel throughout the United States, visiting 47 of the 50 United States with her husband, Edwin. She also enjoyed socializing at the Pastime Club in Lewiston.

Survivors include two sons, Edwin Jr., and wife, Debra, of Auburn and John and wife, Laura, of Jonesport; two daughters, Laurie Campbell of South Carolina, and Kelley Karkos of Auburn; her stepfather, Herbert Larlee of Lisbon; two sisters, Linda Jordan of Florida, and Dorrie Peaco, and husband, Warner, of Florida; three stepbrothers, Robert, Mark and Phillip Larlee; two stepsisters, Joan and Mary Larlee; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Deanna, Zachary, Ryan, Michael, Kyle and fiance, Stephanie, Jeremy and wife, Sarah, and Matthew; three great-grandchildren, Kolby, Khloe and Isabelle; as well as aunts, nephews, cousins, and special friends.

She was predeceased by one grandson, Kenneth Karkos; one brother, Curt Reed; and one stepbrother, Craig Larlee.
