RUMFORD — As of Tuesday afternoon, there were 20 items under new business on the Board of Selectmen meeting agenda for 7 p.m. Thursday, April 18, in Rumford Falls Auditorium.

After taking requests from residents present and reports from selectmen, Town Manager Carlo Puiia and department managers, the board will approve minutes from its previous meetings and the town warrant dated April 19.

Among the other 18 items, the board is asked to accept Selectman Jeremy Volkernick’s resignation on April 10. Volkernick told the Sun Journal on Monday that he resigned because he was frustrated that the town’s upcoming municipal budget was not reduced.
