1922 – 2013

FARMINGTON — Sylvia Mollicone, 91, of Livermore Falls, passed away peacefully, Thursday, April 18, at the Sandy River Center in Farmington, where she had lived since Oct. 2012.

She was born Feb. 2, 1922, in Livermore Falls, a daughter of Ernesto and Emma (D’Orazio) Mollicone. She attended and graduated from local schools.

A lifelong resident of Livermore Falls, she worked at Bath Iron Works during World War II and later at Livermore Shoe.

She was an avid writer of letters to her family and friends.

Sylvia is survived by a sister, Josephine Stradley of Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.; a brother, Herbert Mollicone of St. Cloud, Fla.; a brother-in-law, Oswald Henry of Livermore Falls; nieces and nephew, Kelly Stradley Dellacroce, Tanya Henry Nadeau, James H. Stradley Jr., Judy Mollicone Martell and Pamela Mollicone Trepanier; five great-nieces; six great-nephews; six great-great nieces; and three great-great nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; sisters, Maria Mollicone, Angela Mollicone and Yolanda Henry; her brother-in-law, James H. Stradley Sr.; her sister-in-law, Florence Fournier Mollicone.

Her family would like to extend a sincere heartfelt thank-you for the competent and compassionate care given to her by all of the staff at Sandy River and Beacon House Hospice.
