LEWISTON — Pauline M. Fortier, 84, formerly of College Road, Greene, passed away Monday, May 27, at Ouellette’s Adult Foster Care, where she had resided the past two and a half years.
She was born in Berlin, N.H., Dec. 25, 1928, daughter of the late Wilfred and Roseanna Garand Beaudette. She was educated in Hartford, Conn. schools and moved to Lewiston in 1944. Pauline married Lionel O. Fortier April 16, 1949, and he passed away March 23, 1992. Pauline was employed at the Continental Mill and Hill Mill and later worked as housekeeping supervisor at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.
She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at the Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul.
She is survived by a daughter, Jacqueline Harrison and husband, Victor, of Oshawa, Ontario; a son, Philip P. Fortier of Greene; eight grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Cecile Anctil and Lorraine Russell, both of Lewiston; a brother, Lionel Beaudette and wife, Barbara, of Waterford, Conn.; and a beloved, close and longtime friend, Velma Russell.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Yvonne Toomey in 1993; and four sisters, Annette Fedishin, Jeannine Beaudette, Theresa Brault and Anita Colangelo.
