BOWDOINHAM — The Brunswick Police Department, assisted by the Brunswick Fire Department and Maine State Marine Patrol, recovered a body from the Androscoggin River Sunday morning.
According to a release from the Brunswick Police Department, the body of an unidentified male in his 30s was found floating near Brick Island in Bowdoinham at 10:07 a.m.
The body has been taken to the Medical Examiner’s Office in Augusta for further investigation. At this time, the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Members of the Brunswick Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division are assisting the Medical Examiner’s Office, and the man’s identity will be revealed once family is notified.
