RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Phyllis A. Weliska was celebrated at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30, at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Robert Vaillancourt was the celebrant. Joseph Gorham was the altar server. Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Gentle Woman,” “Ave Maria,” “You Raise Me Up” and “Let There Be Peace On Earth.” The Old Testament was proclaimed by granddaughter, Erin Kilmartin. The New Testament was proclaimed by grandson, Benjamin Elliott. Prayer of the Faithful was offered by son-in-law, Joseph Clarke. Offertory gifts were presented by daughter, Jayne Weliska, and nephew, Peter Buotte. Personal reflections were shared by son-in-law, John Kilmartin. Interment was in St. John Cemetery. Pallbearers were James Kilmartin, Peter Kilmartin, Michael Clarke, John Clarke, Brian Arsenault and Peter Lee Buotte. A reception served by the Daughters of Isabella was in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, 250 Penobscot St., Rumford.
