AUBURN — Susan C. Gendron, 60, of Lewiston passed away peacefully June 6, with her family by her side at the Androscoggin Hospice House.

She was born in Lewiston, Nov. 4, 1952, the daughter of Edward and Loretta (Fournier) Anderson.

She worked for many years in various local shoe factories and had been recently employed for 10 years as a housekeeper at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center.

A longtime member of the Past-Time Club, Susan enjoyed being at the ocean, dancing, cleaning, family gatherings and was an exceptional baker. She also loved dolphins and her dolphin collection.

She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy Gendron-Gibson and her granddaughter, Nadya Gibson, both of Pennsylvania; her partner in life, Paul Labbe Jr. of Lewiston; her five sisters, Cecile Footman, Theresa Lemieux, Diane Jackson, Jeanne Mongeau and Gerrie Giasson; and her two brothers, Ronald Giasson and Paul Giasson.

She was predeceased by her parents; and sisters, Elizabeth Bruno, Carmen Therriault and Rita St. Hilaire.

The family wishes to thank the Hospice House for their wonderful care they provided for Susan.
