AUBURN — As part of this year’s Summer Reading Program, local artist Mike Jordan will return to the Auburn Public Library for another of his spectacular workshops.
On the menu this time is a crash course in the basic uses of Adobe Photoshop (one of the programs available in the Create! Media Lab) as it is applied to graphic illustration. Learn how to digitally clean-up drawings. Discover how to tint, texture and add dynamic effects to artwork. Marvel at the infinite possibilities of layers and filters and shapes.
Participants are encouraged to bring in one black & white piece of their art prior to the program so it can be scanned into the computer for possible use.
There will be an awesome door prize given away. To sign up (requested) or for more info, contact Donna Wallace at 333-6640, ext. 4.
If your preferences run toward photos rather than drawings, Jordan will be back on July 10 for a follow-up workshop that will emphasize digital photography.
This event will take place from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 26, in the Androscoggin Community Room and is just for teens, entering grades 7-12 (ages 13-18).
