LEWISTON — Mildred T. Milliken, 87, formerly of 659 Webster St., Lewiston, passed away at Marshwood Nursing Home on June 17, where she resided for the past 13 months.

She was born in Sidney, Sept. 18, 1925, the daughter of Annie Murray and Erwin S. Targett Sr. She graduated from Flagstaff High School in 1943. She worked in shoe shops for many years before entering the new and emerging electronics field at Raytheon in the early 1960s. She retired from Maine Electronics as an engineer.

She had many hobbies including cooking, fishing, bowling, quilting, gardening, golf and snowmobiling. She married Warren Milliken on June 4, 1944. Mr. Milliken passed away on Aug. 4, 2000. They lived in Flagstaff until 1949, when they moved to Lewiston.

Survivors include six children, Donna Chouinard of Poland Spring, Wayne and wife, Rita, of Poland, Bruce and wife, Teddi, of Lewiston, Karen and husband, John Hoffman, of New Milford, Pa., Tanya and husband, Scott Styverson, of Jackson, Pa., and Toby Milliken of Lewiston; seven surviving brothers, Mike, Dave, Victor, Hugh, Ted, Don and John Targett; and two sisters, Dot King and Diane Pelkey.

Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by a son, Melvin; a grandson, Timothy Chouinard; and a brother, Erwin Targett Jr.
